Did it have a hydraulic walkway with changing level to embark?. That's what I thought. Just a tunnel, not an airbridge with hydraulics to raise it to the right height for the door depending on state of tide. lowell thurber
Not for the Lady but for the King Orry there was an airbridge type set up which followed the tide and was covered pictures come up occasionally on Facebook. Originally it was covered the whole way to the boat but when the seacat came the some of the walkway was removed to get a gangway to the Cat so you went from covered to open then covered again. ian rush
Imagine how much more it would have cost to make it able to handle extreme low tides that last for an hour and probably only coincide with berthing / departing maybe six times an operating season. It's an annual event. They knew how many scooters were booked, so why were they not prepared? And all they can find to say is that the delays were for "operational reasons" Sorry, they need to do a lot better than that.

Well that's understandable. They won't be used to handling large numbers of motorcycles.

Well you can't expect farmers to pay for something that benefits them, themselves, can you. It's against all the laws of nature. 2
Two-lane
That is Part 1 of the story. Part 2 is an analysis of where the differences in costs are.
