mojomonkey
Doubt it, he is generally regarded as being pro EU. The idea that Le Pen is more left wing than right wing is amusing.
llap
Not amusing at all. As Pongo pointed out, she's very pro big government. The further to the right you go, the less the government you believe in (anarchism).

mojomonkey
France is historically very big on big government, and all of it Paris centric. She is a populist, she knows that there are lots of votes in saying that civil service jobs are to be protected. She is also the leader of Front National, and if you think they are anything other than right wing then frankly I don't think we're going to agree. llap
Front National SOCIALISTS, just like the German National SOCIALISTS. Hello???

Macron's policies are cutting public spending, shrinking the public sector, reduce MPs, increase police numbers. Le Pen's policies are French people first, extra taxes on foreign workers and imports, cutting immigration to 10,000 a year (utterly impossible), Frexit etc. he will have no mp's so won't be able to do anything...... llap
Okay, so the names of political parties are meaningless. Please let mojochimp know this when he appeals to the word "national" in Le Pen's party name to claim they're right wing. Patriotism and nationalism are not a monopoly of the right. Except they aren't actually called the Front National Socialists, they are just Front National. The Nazi Party did have the word socialist in their party name. I'm happy to discuss this like adults. Can you find me any references that refer to Front National are being left wing, I'd be very interested to see them.
