If you got a  better idea then we're all ears. I don't think people realize what a huge effect this will have on the island.

There is a case for some input, but for Government to be directly involved no thanks, it will be a disaster !

There really is a need for some out of the box thinking, we need strategic management not the bunch of losers we have now!

Not if the department who are responsible for it is made up of people who know what they are doing. Those people do exist on the Island.

I certainly hope so!

It's a pity none of them are employed currently in the transport or airport divisions!

But do they exist in the Govt?

I'll bet that Govt right now is more concerned with lack of air revenue than loss of air links and population inconvenience. The airport outlets will be about to get an increase in ground rent (again)

But look on the bright side. It's helping to keep Corona out....

Must be a bit like that new North Korean airport Michael Palin visited on telly last week. All fully staffed and operational but no flights or planes....

Ego problems are I think inherent in small administrations as the pool of expertise available is small and too many are promoted to beyond their level of competence at which time they tend to resent any outside comments that may indicate that they are out of their depth. One other problem with small-pool admins is that they self isolate thus allowing 'rogue operators' to profit from the situation.

Congratulations and well done!

In two-and-a-half lines you have described the affliction that burdens every aspect of our amateur parish councilors and holds back every aspect of 'state' management.

ba.....

BA operating in their own name have come and gone, several times, over the years. They’ve operated under franchising with Manx/BRALG, Eastern and Loganair.

They show no appetite to operating to Ronaldsway. If they did it would be with Logan, a la LCY. Would Stobart become a BA franchisee to deliver LPL, MAN and BHX? When they already franchise DUB as Aer Lingus regional. Of course as BA and Aer Lingus are both IAG it may not matter.

They are not in Government - and would need to be appointed.

Your comment about Covid 19 is true to a point.
