Government ministers are considering a change in policy to allow those coming back to self-isolate at home instead. It's understood this won't affect the twenty five people returning via the Steam Packet this afternoon, with a new process yet to be agreed. Once this sailing has arrived, the backlog of those waiting to be repatriated in the UK will have been cleared, with those caught further afield next to be brought back. Those quarantined at the hotel are asked to pay a maximum of £1,000 for accommodation, transport and food, though this can be done in installments over a longer period, if immediate payment isn't an option. Well, good news that it is always being reviewed. We would be placing an awful lot of trust in people to quarantine at home for full two weeks. But then again, most who came back on the boat before the borders shut seemed to be able to do this. I suppose it's all based on acceptable risk.
