The Isle of Man is a well regulated jurisdiction in which an aircraft belonging to Flybe was allegedly impounded at Ronaldsway in lieu of a debt to the subjects of the Isle of Man for landing fees. Could this aircraft be the seized. aircraft Reg G-JECX which landed at Maastricht after leaving the Isle of. An at 1601? If it is has our debt been paid? It wasn’t allegedly impounded, and any impounding was not in lieu of debt owed to the subjects of the Isle of Man. It was arrested to provide security for landing fees owed to IOM Government. See that’s rather different. Government will have been negotiating with liquidators and any finance or lease company. If there was equity they’ll have been paid, or got alternative security. If it didn’t they may have had to let it go. at least it couldn’t be moved without government permission and the liquidators or owners would want it back to sell or lease on.
