Tarne
US reporting that the tomahawk strike took out 20% of Syria's usable strike aircraft, and that Syria would be well advised never to use chemical weapons again. RIchard Britten
US reporting that the tomahawk strike took out 20% of Syria's usable strike aircraft, and that Syria would be well advised never to use chemical weapons again. I think they've got the message And I call bullshit. 59 Tomahawks should have flattened the airfield and everything around it. From some sources no "real" damage was done and Syrian/Russian aircraft were flying an hour later. It's no like Tomahawks are cheap, but the stock price did leap significantly after they were used (psst Trump has stocks....)
Lxxx
The strike did bear all the hallmarks of being for show. Not much damage done, good PR for the president, doesn't piss anyone off and let's off a bit of steam for the war hawks.
the stinking enigma
http://dailym.ai/2tsXSHB Yes, the daily mail but handy as an example of how the story is being played out. Not as subtle as in other media but I have noticed quite a lot of the media linking assad to the Sarin attack in their headlines before going on to say that there is no proof it was assad in the smaller print lower down. If I was assad i'd sue them
