Is that the one that is titled "The UK government stopped funding Windows XP support to try and force people to upgrade" Who chairs the Technology Leaders Network? What is their delegated authority to make spending decisions? Do the attendees act on the instructions of their departmental ministers?

We stop paying for XP support in 3 months. I've just been to the bank and cancelled the direct debit. Carry on!" Doesn't seem right does it? Because it isn't. No she will have speed read a piece of paper and said to an underling "Well there is £5 mil we can save right there. Pass word down to the IT Gremlins that funding has stopped". woolley
Yes, of course. You have clearly made up your minds no matter how ridiculous I have demonstrated your assertion to be, so just crack on.
Bobbie Bobster
No, she teleported into the meeting and said "Foolish, weak humans. Kneel before May! I will crush you and your puny dependancy on XP and it's associated legacy NT code. Now someone get me a cone of those delicious fried potato fingers!" woolley
But ultimately, decisions and priorities are set locally by managers in each NHS organisation. As we now know, there were plenty who failed to recognise the cyber security risks they faced, and only now has the inevitable end result been made painfully apparent. http://www.computerweekly.com/blog/Computer-Weekly-Editors-Blog/UK-government-NHS-and-Windows-XP-support-what-really-happened

Tarne
There's so much medical software that only runs on XP, it's not their fault entirely. It goes far beyond just "not upgrading their OS"
Albert Tatlock
It's not just hospital computers you need to worry about, I caught a virus once after sleeping with a mucky nurse. Yes, a female one, smart arse.
