I don't understand the point you're making here.

I believe it comes down to association guilt.

Certain people with certain views, which are dangerously close to those exhibited by the likes of Jo Cox's Kill and this John Tomlin numpty are worried that they are going to be associated with them.

And rather than acknowledge that their views are dangerously in line with those people, they attack others who point it out, like a defence mechanism.

But that would be as daft as expecting all Muslims to take the blame for ISIS.

The 'christian' comment was imprecise; he's an atheist after all. It's unnecessary to explain the thrust of my comment, and to be honest, I just can't be arsed. His reply to w2 was a thinly-disguised put-down designed to provoke? Unnecessary...

What's this 'guilt' business, Rich? I have absolutely no affiliation with Jo Cox's killer or the acid-attacker. Both those extreme lunatics acted on their own twisted and psychopathic ideologies. Total mental cases. And I certainly am not "worried" that I'd be 'associated' with "them"; a pompous inference and really pushing the boat out but I recognise the tactic.

"dangerously close to..." "dangerously in line with..."

Nah. Not nice either.

Other than the right wing views certain posters share.

The difference being some rant on endlessly on an anonymous internet forum persona and some take their views out physically on others.

But it is the "right wing" that usually expect Muslims to "take the blame".

Maybe the "right wing" should take responsibily for those within their ranks who commit these acts.

Good for the goose and all that...

Sounds like a spiral of stupidity to me.

"Muslims should be doing more to root out these bad apples in their midst"

"Muslims should be protesting IS and decrying their actions"

"Muslims should X"

Change Muslim for "Right Wing" and you see the line of thinking...
