Thanks for moderator advice (free 😁).

I just don't see the difference between controlled meds. Illegal to have without a script.  Legal with. Strange rules.

It’s because IoM is a different territory/jurisdiction with its own laws.

About 8 years ago I represented someone at the police station in relation to a an arrest for possess/produce viagra.

In those days the law in UK had been changed to allow pharmacists to dispense without a prescription. The pharmacist was, I seem to recall, supposed to interview and not hand out like sweeties.

IoM was prescription only.

They'd bought at a Boots in a city centre before getting on the ferry or plane.

Eventual result, much huffing and puffing, no charges, but they never got the blue pills back.

And yet Boots would dispense Viagra online to the IoM, after a short online questionnaire at that time.

And yet they shouldn’t have. But more seriously the person ordering was committing a serious offence as it hit the IoM

Years ago, I went to a Pharmacy in Vietnam to purchase some Valium (it's the only way to travel longhaul/sleeper bus/dugout canoe).  They also were freely selling Viagra, so I thought what the hell, I'll buy some of that too.

Years later, I was having a house party and some random guy I was chatting to (fresh foreign Pokerstars arrival) started oversharing about his problems getting it up.  I told him I had a solution, dug out a couple of the pills and gave them to him.  He then left the party and went out into town.  Later I heard he'd taken them whilst out and was then strutting around the Outback with a raging horn trying to pull anything to release the pressure.  Lots of madness then ensued, ultimately ending up with him calling the police over something related and he asked them if they could help him get rid of his horn.

Good night...

Interestingly , or perhaps not... Thailand has recently legalised cannabis with shops all over the place including garish coloured signage etc. Now flip flop Thai Government , always changing their mind, are seriously considering banning it again due to the open abuse generally., big increase in kids using and generally hasnt gone well. Most of the Doctors that matter want a quick reversal.

I recently read that states in the US which have legalised cannabis are beginning to regret their decision. The control which they thought that they could exert is non existent, dealers undercut the legal market with unregulated weed and the levels of cannabis related psychosis have rocketed.

The psychosis is due to an influx of chemically altered imports from Mexico.  Spraying spice on the marijuana.

Has anyone on the island received any from the pharmacy?  Seems health are deliberately dragging their heels
