Well that was democratic and shows the way things are going to go this sitting. Big D won't answer in full any question about the Cheshire police and Mr Braidwood before being called to the committee. Brenda Cannell tries to call a point of order and Mr President won't let her ask a question. Democracy - this is a sham!! It's obvious that Mr President has decided that things will move on quickly, he's going to protect the Chief Minister and CoMin, so we'll get no depth in answering the questions. Also, big news, Big Donnie's wife was upset by David Cannon's wife at the banquet by being told that "David was only doing his job", Donald Gelling got really outraged by this, which is of course a much more important matter than finding out the truth about matters that concern the integrity of the people of the IOM.

Also, MEA - how can anyone vote one way or the other on this matter with a metophorical gun to their heads - Alan Bell - if we don't vote this through everything will collapse. Donald Gelling - you've had the PKF report for 8 days, that's more than long enough to get to grips with what is happening! Donald Gelling - no need to recall Tynwald.

Go back to sleep everyone all's well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just don't put the lights on because you won't be able to afford it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Donald doesn't want the people of the IOM to be paying higher tariffs, so you'd better vote for what we tell you or you'll be letting the people down. Who's going to be the one that votes No now.

I think the heat is effecting Donald, he's really grumpy!! No Government Minister involved in the leak of the report! Yeh right!

I think we've reached a cross roads. The Manx political system doesn't work.

Having a state run Radio Station and a 3 paper monopoly try and hold the Government to account doesn't work.

I think a lot of MHKs need to go at the next election, it's kick up the arse time, but it wont happen. As uaual they'll all get away with it as a Government doesn't stand for [re-]election, and we have no idea who the Chief Minister will be.

But then again even a Chief Minister in someway accountable to the electroate would be a start.

Tynwald have just voted yes to spend money to knock down Summerland, Allan Bell proposed that the site should be given away free to a contractor to develop.

And a new Hotel is to be built on the old Bus station site in Douglas

The wedding cake will now not be completed until next year, Peter Karran has asked if its true that its costing a extra £2 miilion to finish The delays have been blamed on the design team and Government have just emplowed additional design team members to help speed the project up. Tony Brown would not give a completion date or deny that its costing a further £2mill.

Just to let you know that the Prison is being built by the same contractor on an open contract, The Hospital all over again

Open contract - please explain. Does that mean there is no fixed completion date and then penalties is they don't finish by that date. In which case - why would anyone have this type of contract.

AWGs price was a fixed price for the whole project which meens that all the risk/final costs are that of AWG, the new Contractors price is A JST form of contract that can fall/rise in price and can get paid for something they missed during pricing or something like that. B.O.M. may be able to explain better
