On May 20, 2014, D'Souza pleaded guilty in federal court to one charge of using a "straw donor" to make an illegal campaign contribution to a 2012 United States Senate campaign. On September 23, he was sentenced to eight months in a halfway house near his home in San Diego, five years probation, and a $30,000 fine.[8][9]

In 2016, D'Souza released a documentary film and book, both entitled Hillary's America, which offers a critique and interpretation of the Democratic Party's past-to-present history; the film was the highest-grossing documentary of 2016.[10][11][12] His films have been the subject of some controversy, including criticism for espousing conspiracy theories.

D'Souza has argued the Abu Ghraib torture and prisoner abuse scandal was a result of "the sexual immodesty of liberal America." He further asserted that the conditions of prisoners at Abu Ghraib "are comparable to the accommodations in mid-level Middle Eastern hotels."

During an interview on The Colbert Report on January 16, 2007, while promoting his book The Enemy At Home: The Cultural Left and Its Responsibility for 9/11, D'Souza maintained that liberals had some responsibility for the September 11 attacks....Towards the end of the interview, he admitted that he and Islamic militants share some of the same negative beliefs about liberal Americans.[55]

Yeah, I'll pass on buying his book.  The guy is a right wing loon.

Good point, Aristotle, but you know you won't win with the Grand Mufti of hideously white South Dorset.

No he doesn't have a good point.  He dug up some right wing loon who worked out how to sell books to other right wing loons.

There is no documented link between Jason Kessler and OWS/The Obama administration.  Just like there was no documented link between James Alex Fields Jr and the Democrats (or even the dreaded "anti-fa").
