He did a wonderful programme about Sammy Davis Junior a few years ago which reminded us of Brucie's own real talent. He became the consummate Saturday night host but it was those early T.V. audiences and theatre goers in the 1950's and 60's that saw him at his best. Right up till near the end he still had that energy too, one of the marks of a real professional. He's perhaps the last of the old breed and there's no hyperbole in all the tributes he's receiving. He really did have it all - and what a life.

It is my very small way of showing a little support for those poor people killed and maimed by bastards in Barcelona.

You should show the Catalan flag then.

Still in Spain ,but at least I have tried to show some respect.:(

About 35 years ago I saw Brucie on a train travelling to London from Birmingham. He was reading a copy of a magazine called "Family Circle".
