Anyone who wants the full dilligaf experience can look at the full set of pictures on the Crystals website

The trouble with these incredibly expensive properties that have been built to suit the tastes of a particular wealthy individual (presumably Barrowman rather than Mone) is that the odds that anyone who can afford it[1] will actually want something like exactly that are going to be low.  So you're buying it to get rid a lot of what you've bought and start again.

[1]  According to Hello magazine the Estate is worth £120 million.  So at £25 million it's obviously a snip.

Why reduce it to comedy by calling it the dilligaf experience ? are you upset that I have been in the property and you haven't ?

You are better than that and you know it.

She's Baroness of Knightsbridge or something isn't she?  And a member of the House of Lords (to which she rarely shows up to allegedly).

To maintain these 'titles' would she not have to stay resident in the UK?

Considering she wasn't on the scene until after it was complete I'd say that's quite likely.

Well quite.  Though that Hello article suggests that she had been involved in redecoration, so she might be responsible for some of what you see in quite a lot of the pictures.  But I think she was trying to her interior design services at the time, so that may also be involved.

Baroness Mone of Mayfair, so trying to be even posher sounding.  She seems to turn up to about a quarter of the sitting days and not say much.  There was a bit of a fuss about it last year, it's some way under average, but there's no obligation to turn up at all.  She's nominally resident in London and you do indeed have to be resident in the UK, though how tightly they can enforce that I don't know.

The truth is that Cameron gave out peerages like sweeties and Mone probably wasn't even the most unlikely recipient (at least some people have heard of her).

That house is absolutely stunning! Did you see the pictures in the bedroom? Nice. There are some very nice pictures dotted around the place. Wow. I'm happy just to have seen pictures of that. Lovely.

It's about the only house facade on the Isle of Man where the architect has understood basic rules of proportion.

The outside looks okay. It's the interior design and furniture that lets it all down and screams out "chav".

Is that because of the size of their telly's? :) I thought it was fairly subtle & mostly very nice. Horses for courses an all that.
