A lot of the pogroms carried out as the germans spread east were actually carried out by citizens of the countries germany had taken over. That's a fact and it's not a woody one

There is clearly a considerable difference. And nobody was interned in Britain for being Jewish.

There is no difference. Jews living in Britain were deprived of their human rights, citizens deprived of their right to due process, arbitrarily arrested, rounded up and thrown into concentration camps under armed guard. People taken away from their families, families divided, people lost their jobs, also put on ships manned by violent criminals from prisons who mistreated the Jewish prisoners. On the other side of the Atlantic, the same was done to the Japanese.

The overwhelming majority of the German refugees put into "internment" (AKA concentration) camps were Jews.

from your link...

Quote

of the 55,000 Jewish refugees who had come to the UK to escape Nazi persecution in the early and mid 1930s found themselves in Category C. Some 6,700 were classified as Category B and 569 as A. Those classified in Category A were interned in camps being set up across the UK

569 is not most...

The difference is the reason for internment, the people were placed in camps for being German, not for being Jews.

That's not a difference. Putting people into a concentration camp because of their ancestry is the same regardless of which ancestry it is. It happens that the overwhelming majority of the Germans were Jews, including Jews who had been born in Britain and just had German parents. It is completely racist and illegal to lock people up because of their ancestry.

The term "anti-semite" is thrown around all the time by left-wingers. It no longer means a damn thing thanks to them diluting it. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen someone in the media called an anti-semite, based on zero evidence. It just gets thrown in their along with racist, homophobe, islamophobe, etc. This does a great disservice to the Jewish people and genuine victims of anti-semitism.

Holocaust denial is anti-Semitic in your book though, surely
