My point is that would leave little Manxies scattered around Europe. But not a multi-racial local population. Unless the local woman were impregnated by visiting sailors. But that would mean the Manx side would be your female ancestors not the male ones.

The women would marry the men and move to the Isle of Man to live.

Richard are you really saying the religious beliefs of an ISIS inspired attacker isn’t relevant?  Even when the attacker and ISIS make it very clear they are committing these crimes precisely because of their religious beliefs.

Talk about trying to explain away inconvenient religious beliefs!

ISIS is no more religiously motivated than the KKK, regardless of the silly outfits or mumbojumbo they spout.  The "religious" element of ISIS is used as a recruitment, enforcement and propaganda tool

Have you ever been to Saudi?  You know the Islamic country which has a religious police force and home of Wahabism?  Watch Saudis on a plane crossing an international airspace out of Saudi.  They are pissed as farts before the peanuts have been served.

ISIS is about power, territory and resources, for the "guys in charge".  Sure the nuggets on the "front line" think they are dying for some religious "noble" cause for their one true religion, secure in the knowledge that their leaders are pious and holy men, when in actual fact the leaders are up to their eye balls in Rolex and Bentley.

What period are you talking about.

I can see that in happening more frequently in later centuries.

Yes, it happened more between the late 17th to early 20th century. It happened before that as well though.

ISIS is the latest attempt to establish the Caliphate. It has been successful.  The trappings of Western society and the kufr acts of some Muslims is immaterial.

Is it balls.  IS is a vehicle put in place by the West and Israel to destabilise the region ready for absorption into the larger Israeli state and allow unrestricted to resources.

The "War on Terror" has always been about maximising Western troops in the region, weakening Iran and its ally states, and clearing routes for pipelines, etc.

And you think the training and funding came at the instigation of who?  Who exactly is this "West" putting in place this vehicle, who in Israel?

Hmmmmm well there are a shit ton of American bases and UK bases all over the Middle East, so its hardly rocket science to see who the "instigators" are there...

As for Israel, you only have to look at the Syria situation to see how IS are acting towards the goals of Israel.  Syrian territory in the Golan, for example.
