New York attack: Eight killed by man driving truck

IS are attacking Syria in the Heights.

IS accidently attack IDF in the Heights, apologise and go about their business.

Israel has attacked Syrian National forces in the Heights.

Israel wants the bit of the Heights that isn't theirs (that is of course ignoring the whole section they currently hold but isn't recognised by the international community).

Have you got a believable link to back this up or is it just more antisemitism?

Sorry, care to point out where I mentioned Jews or the Jewish Faith?  I am talking about the Israeli Governments illegal occupation of the Golan Heights.

And what would you class as a believable link?

The Golan Heights were occupied by Israel during the 6 Days War. Syria had no reason to attack Israel (except that the regime in Syria was fundamentally opposed to Israel's existence).

It seems perfectly reasonable for Israel to retain strategic control - as a buffer against Syria. Unless or until there is a total settlement.

Israel annexed the Heights in '81.  The Israelis settled there are in illegal settlements.

You must know that it is much more complicated than that. It's not exactly an annexation and it probably doesn't need to be set in stone. But Syria is a hostile neighbour. So of course Israel wants a buffer zone. Perhaps one day Syria will be a peaceful democracy.

The same is true for much of the disputed territories. The Israeli - PLO peace process was making good progress and many of these issues would gradually have been settled. But for Hamas.

It was recognised by the UN as such

It is an illegal annexation according to the UN.

You mean when a "friendly" government has been planted?
