Bulger murderer jailed again.

Clearly he is in no way rehabilitated, and given the fact he has had two chances at a new start,  it's time put him back in gaol  for good.

Regarding a Manx connection,  Wikipedia says:

In April 2010, a 19-year-old man from the Isle of Man was given a three-month suspended prison sentence for falsely claiming in a Facebook message that one of his former colleagues was Robert Thompson. In passing sentence, Deputy High Bailiff Alastair Montgomerie said that the teenager had "put that person at significant risk of serious harm" and in a "perilous position" by making the allegation.[78]

Can you imagine the end result if the "usual" rabble had actually had the balls to follow through with their "internet hardman" talk?

Thus proving my point.

In your frothing mouth rage to type that garbage, you completely missed that I wasn't talking about the Bulger murderer, but I was in fact talking about the case in the IOM of some wally falsely claiming his mate was the murderer.

"Internet hardman talk" at it's finest.

To reassure the community, both about the robustness of the parole system generally and about the danger posed by this individual, there should now be a public statement confirming that he will remain in prison, ineligible for parole, for the remainder of his life.

The trouble with baying mobs is that they demand quite a low level of proof that they have the right monster, or a monster at all.  In my hierarchy of reliable sources, pictures being circulated on Facebook rank below some geezer down the pub.

So I'll stick with the established justice system any day, despite its shortcomings.

Quite agree. I assume the original sentence and the lifetime license for his releases allow this to be done. He has proved himself unlikely to be rehabilitated.

Wasn’t he rumored to be living here at some stage about 10 years ago?

One of them was said to be working in "The British" pub in Douglas years ago.

Manx Radio newsroom told me that it was true about one of them but they could not report it as they were not sure which one it was.

As I recall of their trial or interviews they became very distressed when it was put to them that the little boy had been subject to sexual interference...and that only one of them was the instigator...

As I recall both accused became so distressed that that their chaperones were able to stop that line being pursued..

It was never really followed up and so it was the violence that became centre part of the story..Now we see "porn" etc becoming an issue in respect of one of the boys now grown up...Maybe there was sexual assault after all?

People like to invent monsters. Then they seem less monstrous themselves. When they get blind-drunk, accept dirty money, cheat, steal or beat their partners, they like to think that they are better than the monsters they invent. They feel better then. They find it easier to live.

Why on earth would Manx Radio Newsroom divulge something as sensitive as this to you Barrie?
