You mean as opposed to a tiny island in the Irish Sea which is locked in the 80's?

You said free movement, I should "an example" of that movement being impeded.

What you showed was something in attempt to back up your wafer thin theory. That is one group halted where many get through

That was meant to read "So how is using naval warships going to stop that?"

It will go some way to stopping illegals coming in by boat. Or do you think that problem doesn't exist as far as the UK is concerned?

The link below outlines the problem and that's just the ones they know/don't know about

Quick scan of that document, no where is method of entry mentioned.

I am not saying that people don't enter the UK illegally by boat, but is it a big enough problem that we need to employ naval warships to prevent?

Yes.  And once we shrug off the EU yoke it will become n times worse.

But how much of the Navy are you wanting to commit to this?

As much as necessary... They pretty much have a presence there all year round

Amazing how a OP about the UK Government (specifically Defence Procurement) making a massive costly balls up, and in the space of a few pages has been turned into yet another "bloody immigrants/anti-EU" rant circle jerk.

Just as well you didn't join in on it then...

Well I started it actually.  The Rog jumped in with his "what ever it takes" nonsense, and they you followed with using naval warships to stop immigrants.  And then it all became the EU's fault somehow.
