After all, in these litigious days that piece could gift Fox a juicy little earner if it wasn't true. If it is true then it would demonstrate only too clearly that when you're negotiating from a position of weakness it's not you that dictates the terms. Despite how believable Johnson, Fox, Rees-Mogg, Gove, Davis might sound to some. Personally, on their recent track record, I wouldn't trust any of them further than I could throw a steamroller. We should expect a better standard of behaviour from our politicians, but we can't.... It really matters not one iota. The UK is to gain freedom from the awful EU and nothing can change that. Whatever results, no matter what, is a price well worth paying. In any case the amount of hard working taxpayers money that goes into the "don't work won't work no need to work" sector will have to be cut come what may because it is unaffordable and if the result is that one sector sees a fall in living standards all that proves is that their living standards have been too high anyway. So Brexit mens bringing back The Workhouse...? Well, according to The Daily Wail all those on benefits are feckless, workshy scroungers who are there as a lifestyle choice. That's why they, plus the EU of course, are preventing Britain being Great Britain all over again! Not....
Barrie Stevens
The way it is going the UK will be about as "independent" of the EU as the Isle of Man is "independent" of the UK and likewise as Canada is "independent" of the USA.

There is much to commend the return of some form of centralised accomadation subsidised by the people so housed undertaking work that they are able to do - and I'm being deadly serious. Changes to what the Welfare State has morphed into are now essential. It has become a lifestyle choice, a thing it was never intended to be. the stinking enigma
Who decided to call it "great" britain anyway? Marvelous marvin hagler changed his name by deed poll to ensure people had to address him as marvelous marvin hagler. I'll wager similar forces are at work here. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvelous_Marvin_Hagler

Freggyragh
When ‘Great Britain’ was named the word ‘Great’ was synonymous with ‘Large’, ‘Big’, ‘Main’ or ‘Major’. It’s the name of the largest of these Isles, just like the following are the largest islands in their respective archipelagos; Majorca, Great Cambrae, Great Blasket, Major Island, and the Big Island (Hawaii). Rog, you seem to no nothing about the Britain. What part of the world are you actually from?

The Romans named it Great as they saw two Britains the little one being Brittany. They also invented Britannia. The name Great Britain was revived as a new name when Scotland and England began to conjoin.

In the case of Great Britain it has a geo-political meaning and while what remains of Ulster elect represents in Westminster that is much more than good enough for me and a very great deal others to apply the geo-political definition that includes what remains of Ulster as being an integral part of the UK
