There is compelling evidence that male circumcision reduces the risk of heterosexually acquired HIV infection in men by approximately 60%. Three randomized controlled trials have shown that male circumcision provided by well trained health professionals in properly equipped settings is safe. WHO/UNAIDS recommendations emphasize that male circumcision should be considered an efficacious intervention for HIV prevention in countries and regions with heterosexual epidemics, high HIV and low male circumcision prevalence.

DICK. You need to grow up.

PRICK.

If you lose your sense of humour everything immediately becomes twice as difficult.

That quip was originally broadcast by comedienne Shappi Khorsandi now President of The Humanist Association.

You're the one who needs to grow up....

It’s for one specific disease transmission in a specific risk group in very few places. You can’t extrapolate to anything else.

It cuts down transmission rates to 40%, but cheap pre exposure prophylaxis PrEP is 99% + effective and avoids mutilation. And protects both circumcised and uncircumcised.

I agree with Matthew Parris who was heard on the programme to say about Enoch Powell: "He was a stupid persons idea of an intelligent person".

Whatever Powell may or may not have been he was absolutely correct in his speech.

Wrong AGAIN John.

Circumcision has been proven to also substantially reduces transmission of a  number of diseases that are caused by retroviruses.

Maybe time for your passive antisemitism to take a break?

Well, this is turning out as expected.

I see a lot of sensible and well reasoned posts from some, and then a wall of "this post has been blocked because you are ignoring this poster"

It was meant more as a commentary on the thread and its contributors, rather than a "submission".

I knew from the get go this was going to be a perfect storm of racists and racist comments.

I commend those posters trying to reason and debate with "those" posters, however, such acts are futile.
