So are you accusing the Chair of the MUA of looking at the long weather forecast , then implementing a hosepipe ban, knowing full well it would pour down for the next few days. That is a very cynical view of how the MUA manipulate the general public. 1

hissingsid
Two burst water mains in the past couple of days has not helped. I cannot believe the cheeky sods blamed the Manx Public for not following instructions, their words not mine, when the cause was solely down to a lack of rain. Regarding the merger between the water and electric boards this was a cover up of how badly the electric lot were doing and how much debt they were in, the water board were doing fine up to then the water rate was minimal. Things never change and will never change until accountability is introduced into the government’s shenanigans but there is no hope of that. 1

So long as they fix them quick, that's all we can reasonably ask for.

Well I guess technically it is, but then you would be failing in your duty and a water supplier. Its certainly, IMO, more important than washing a car
hissingsid
You could wash 1000 cars with hosepipes with the amount of water those burst drains spew out.

Happier diner
Bloody he'll it's hot. Must be at least 22C. Seriously though, has anyone ever seen it so dry. My garden is like a desert. I blame the MUA for not having another extra trick to the hospipe ban....maybe tooth brushing ban just to bring us some rain.
