Anyway, can we just spend a moment or two to thank the government for an excellent course of action in adding more water to our reserves. This is the one act that never seems to fail.

Seems they can get something right.

There's been quite a bit of rain and more to come Monday and Tuesday.

So are you accusing the  Chair of the MUA of looking at the long weather forecast , then implementing a hosepipe ban, knowing full well it would pour down for the next few days.  That is a very cynical view of how the MUA manipulate the general public.

Two burst water mains in the past couple of days has not helped.  I cannot believe the cheeky sods blamed the Manx Public for not following instructions, their words not mine, when the cause was solely down to a lack of rain.   Regarding the merger between the water and electric boards this was a cover up of how badly the electric lot were doing and how much debt they were in, the water board were doing fine up to then the water rate was minimal.   Things never change and will never change until accountability is introduced into the government’s shenanigans but there is no hope of that.

But even god can't stop water mains bursting. So long as they fix them quick, that's all we can reasonably ask for.
