the stinking enigma
A sad day for isis now that their founding father has passed away. Oh, and for lockheed martin too.
Chinahand
I find the conspiracist view that ISIS was founded by the US government one of the most juvenile ones out there. Right on a par with 911 being an inside job, flight 77 not hitting the Pentagon and the earth being flat. But I'm sure you'll happily rock on with it Stinky. That being said Senator McCain was a hawk who definitely saw a military supreme USA as central to his policy agenda - so yes Lockheed Martin will be mourning his passing. the stinking enigma
He did have a great backstory in that sense though. It's peculiar how not too many ex vietnam vets that came back anti war ever made it too far in american politics.

gerrydandridge
One less monster roaming the earth..Perhaps he is really basking in the Maui sunshine as a way to escape his heinous crimes.. Chinahand
Quilp, I too wonder about the specifics Gerry will come up with, but his view isn't isolated. Here are two cartoons posted by a rather left-wing blogger I follow (who is basically the antithesis of Gerry in world view):

Chinahand
Tom Daschle is another. Here's a list from the 106th Congress - multiple Vets have become politicians on both the democratic and republican sides and have served at high levels. I'm not really sure what is Stinky's point. Stinky are you really saying Vietnam Veterans are under-represented in Congress? On what metric?
quilp
It was the "founding father of IsIs" I found intriguing.
Chinahand
Typical conspiracist nonsense - all over the web of course. Max Cleland is another vietnam vet who achieved high office. This time while paraplegic.
