He was though, alongside the stauch pacifist john kerry, quite instrumental in pushing for the arming of the syrian rebels. Aka isis. It's just a name after all. Though with lessons learned from the vietnam anti war protests, there was certainly no danger of history repeating once the beheading videos etc made it online promoted by our very own media.
