My son sent me a picture of his positive LFT as an explanation of why he couldn’t come and eat cake on my birthday. I thought it was quite sweet. He’s not an MHK though and he wouldn’t dream of posting it on social media. I suppose any excess cake will go to Wright and 2bees. Sigh. I like cake, me.

A good case for having fewer MHK's, representing and voted for by the whole island. 1

If he's only tested positive yesterday he almost certainly didn't catch it last week. Omicron only has an incubation period of 2 - 4 days (I presume he would have also tested on Tuesday before Keys). Omicron has been pretty much the only main variant around since January/February and specifically the BA.2 subvariant since about April: Of course it could be a special new Manx variant, in which case we'll have to name it Tau Tau. But it seems unlikely.

Newsdesk
It’s very sad when you’re even mining sympathy from Bernie Moffatt. There is a third plausible alternative though Bernard - in that Alf Cannan simply knows the guy is a total idiot?

It is hard to work out what he is saying with all the flourishes and 'clever' linguistic devices. He probably sat back, very smug and pleased with his carefully ceafted words, but it reads like a piece written by a twelve year old who has delusions of being a great wordsmith. 2

De nada
Moffatt - using the poorer Manx worker for years. Made a tidy sum in doing so I bet.

Rob danced across the floor when Tynwald elected Mr Quayle as Chief Minister he first backed Mr Cannan then once he saw the way the wind was blowing he shifted his allegiance. somethings may not be forgotten!
