Man found guilty in Government Court apologised to Government Court to preserve £70,000 Government job but goes on Government paid for radio to deny Government legally binding decision then goes into said Government Court at 10am the following day taking his Government £70,000 like nothing fucking happened.

And he’s allowed to ask questions of the Government.

Let’s be honest my piss has been boiled.

Callister - useless

Cannan - zero identity anonymous

KLB - zero identity anonymous

Moorhouse - Village idiot just noise

Laxey and over that side - best if they fell in the sea and paid for the houses - Smith is a cartoon character Oh there’s the other one FFS

Claire Christian - saying popular things makes you popular- doing is a different thing

Hooper - bullied at school bullied by Alf unfortunately out of his depth.

Faragher - I’d rather shit in my hands and clap - or Chuck a Fistful of notes out the window - better value for money to pay 2 people £35k and recycle the £50 notes.

JPW - had big hopes for her until finding out her husband had Govt financial influence.

And Awaaaay

Seriously though, do you have a problem with the current government...

He’s back to the “Karen” wooing again for good publicity after picking himself up and dusting himself down. All over Facebook today about the Onchan speed limits, the new zebra crossing and traffic calming. Whipping up those Onchan mums who don’t want their kids mowed down on ..

This is the problem with Rob Callister - he is a NATIONAL politician - local issues such as this should be dealt with by the appropriate Local Authority - in this case Onchan District Commissioners.

He needs to get his teeth into some of the very real issues facing the Nation - starting with the crumbling infrastructure.

It's not so much that he's forgotten it as he denies it.  The conversation took place between the two of them privately and the civil servant claims Rob said something that Callister says he didn't.  So either one of them is lying or there was a misunderstanding.  Mark Egan's Report says that he believes the civil servant but that seems based on collaboration from the Departmental Members who heard it from the same civil servant, not directly.

The trouble is that this assumes that DHSC civil servants are all completely honest, competent and disinterested people who are doing their best.  While past experience (not just from Ranson) may indicate that this isn't always the case.  Rather in the way that the claims of staff being traumatised by Callister has to be taken in the context of then having survived under Murray and Magson, a Department notorious for backstabbing and bullying may not have changed its ways overnight.

Certainly a lot of MHKs thought so.  Not only was Callister's apology rather qualified by his voting against the Committee Report, but seven other MHKs and the Bishop joined him.  This is fairly unusual.  Even Watterson, who chaired the Committee seems to have some misgivings.

I believe the civil servant was telling the truth, Mr Callister can deny it all he likes. there is just something that rings true about it. Also I just don't see what the civil servant had to gain. , Mr Callister  needs to be educated in  "Know Your Audience'. It may be alright in Onchan Commissioners to rant at people, but six years on you would think he would have learnt a little of how the civil service works, especially as he says in his manx radio interview, it wasn't his first run in with a civil servant.

Better than the one he posted with the car bloke from America as a red flag was waving and two soapbox racers died less than a mile away = media training

Hopefully he doesn’t get that stiffy he got when meeting Prince William again
