asitis
The cost according to Faceache is 4 million plus. I hope Alf Cannan realises that in commercial corridors off island we must be an utter laughing stock ! Turkey for flumes at a zillion pounds and what 4 years ? Liverpool for a tin shed costing 3 million and now 60 million, (historically) a power station massively over budget needing loans and promulgated by a CEO who really believed in renewables. Bullshit projections justifying massive expenditure at the airport, have you seen the video for Wanx airlines ? ... my favourite subject, a dumbbell MHK Rob Callister, tweets how great it is that runway 03/21 has been finished on time and on budget .. errr it was supposed to be 29th August it is now 23rd November it is still closed ! Roads full of potholes whilst the department pisses about laying coloured paving and tarmacs, white lines not painted money just pouring away, perhaps the only bit of good drainage the department does ! Alf you need to get a grip and quickly !! Edited November 23, 2021 by asitis

Ramseyboi
Just seen on Facebook… The Cafe is being decorated this week. Absolute genius. Three years they have had the place part closed and they must have known a few weeks ago it was due to be opening. 6

Our "Government" and its departments are only capable at reactive actions and from plenty of real world experience of organising people, it is a lot easier to react to "emergencies" than to plan ahead. As in, the managers don't need to do any pesky "paperwork" for "emergencies" as they would be expected to do for planned works............ They should actually plan for as many scenarios as they can think of but from seeing the last 2 years gov response to Covid they quite clearly do not. It was always this way in the IOM CS.
Numbnuts
Mind blowing but totally expected really with our CS. Not fit for purpose in every way .
