When planning (or lack of it) goes badly wrong. Lessons should be learned. An update on it, with a link to the petition..

Amadeus
I think I found the shop where they bought the project plans for this.
quilp
Went for a walk earlier, to see the sculpture in the, er, flesh. Not bad. Whilst there, a delightful little Yorkie terrier appeared and sat down in front of Maurice and stared at the boys, then jumped up and pissed all over Robin's foot. Cue guilty owner rapidly re-collaring said dog...

doc.fixit
Went down there today and just can't see anything that is an improvement on what was there before. Why on Earth didn't they fix the services and then lay a proper tarmac surface? Possibly put the trams on the promenade walkway, still be plenty of safe room for peds. etc. ( Much the same as Brighton where the electric train lives happily and safely with all the holiday makers and locals with just a low fence separating them from each other. 2
doc.fixit
Funny isn't it, NOT. That nowadays complicated is classed as, 'better'. Cars, household goods, toothbrushes, road schemes, anything at all crammed with items we don't use, need or want but they seem to be all we can get because the great brainwashed think it's, 'better' ? Beats me. Doesn't really! It's total brainwashing and profiteering.

There were so many plans and changes of plans that I couldn’t even tell you when it was. It feels as though from the interment camps to now I can’t remember anything in between. 😃 The plans are still changing, everyday...
Amadeus
The space between the parking bays and the pink concrete looks a bit toight or are cars supposed to use it? Also, didn’t someone say these thingies are not allowed to be used anymore? Looks like a huge tripping hazard, installed at a section seemingly meant to act as a crossing.

It's all part of the shared space experience and slowing traffic to the benefit of pedestrians and other non-car users
