He's been fired from every department he's worked for with the exception of his current position and when he worked for Gawne in the DOI. He only just scraped in last time because the choice was him or Gawne. A bit like in Onchan a few years back when Quirk got in because everyone wanted to keep Earnshaw out. NoTail
I've sort of lost track on what's going on. This last couple of days there seem very few workers out there doing anything. Is this planned or has there been an unexpected slowdown in progress?
doc.fixit
Lots going on today but it all seems so confused. holes dug here, filled in there, concrete here concrete dug up there. Hole being dug in a side street. As an engineer I can't see rhyme nor reason, it just seems a chaotic, furious frenzy of un-coordinated disaster. Just STOP! Re-group and do it properly.

ellanvannin2010
I had a chance yesterday to look at a recently completed tramway in Italy. You can see that the rail is surrounded by a flexible compound to help absorb sound and movement. If only they had asked the DOI for advice they could have avoided such complications

Numbnuts
Well a very good friend of mine this morning decided to call out the DOI and particularly Tim Baker's performance in Manx radio last week claiming the Prom cracking wasn't so bad . Over a approx 350m stretch between Great Western and TT shirts shop he countered 131 cracks in the center panel of red concrete and in the small fringe on the building side he countered 241 cracks . So apparently a total of 372 over a short stretch isn't deemed worrying or bad Edited January 26, 2020 by Numbnuts
Dave Hedgehog
Should make it much easier to dig up then.
