Horse trams phase 1 is actually 2 phases over 2 years. good use of the lockdown to plan so fully.

Makes the bank holiday announcement look professional.

Manx radio had a story up, but it's been deleted now. Wonder what's going on? Didin't this get the knock back from planning?

Their reasons for not putting up a sea wall were pathetic. Look back at the early 1900 photos of the prom with a sea wall

And while they are at it, get a bulldozer to remove all the stones/sand that has gradually built up along the prom shoreline.

What’s wrong with clearing debris from the beach initially? The level at the wall is much higher than it was 20/30 years ago.
When the build up reaches the top of the new wall are they going to add another metre on top of it?

The seaweed should be removed, not pushed back in every day. If they do it to reduce the smell for the prom residents then at least it is well intended.

However the height of the beach is the thorn in their side. It needs dropping about 2 mtrs to help the situation. In my opinion only.

That is so obviously what is required (and in Laxey too) but hiring a digger and wagon, doesn't keep dozens of designers, engineers, quantity surveyors and an entire management structure in jobs.

Are you guys joking? I genuinely cannot work out. Clearly the sea level would be the same.
