The evidence will be able to be heard via the livestream on the Tynwald website. The recording will also be available after the session under the “Listen Again” section of the website and a Hansard transcript will be published in due course.

Link just be broken. Can't hear a thing. Funny that.

To be fair, and not defending performance on the Prom, but you can't really avoid slippage when you have been stopped working by the government.

Posted in another thread, but there's been an FOI on Prom costs

"We write further to your request which was received on 22 February 2021 and which states (sic): "The total cost to the tax payer on the Isle of Man of the Douglas promenade regeneration scheme from April 2018 until February 2021." The answer to your question is as follows: The cost for Douglas promenade scheme from 1 April 2018 to 31 January 2021 is £19,263,503.84. Please quote the reference number 1678257 in any future communications"

Nick Black giving evidence this morning says mid August now for completion, can’t see that happening

He uses the word completion very loosely though as apparently they have to go back to Tynwald in October to get the funding to finish , if that is even a word you can use when talking about the Prom. So Nick Blacks August deadline doesnt include the completion of rails to Sea Terminal , the 3 roundabouts and the Prom walk way which initially was never to be touched . Apparently roundabouts are to be temporary done in tarmac and yes youve all guessed it , dug up when returned too.  I agree though that whats going to allegedly be finished by August is not going to happen.
