This will take months of costly disruption for Prom businesses. Why don't they come clean about it? It's ok. Rob Callister has asked that they ignore the cracks and leave it for several years.

CallMeCurious
So given we are nearing the end of the project (allegedly for now), who is going to be maintaining these new wonderous surfaces? And who will be paying for it? In Ramsey we have at least twice weekly mini-roadsweeper for an hour or two over the granite streets, courthouse grounds and pavements. Then every few months the pressure washers are out scrubbing it all inclsuing the side lanes to the quayside. So will it be ratepayers of Douglas or Central Government? Or will it just be neglected and end up an eyesore with oil stains, gum and the like again.

That will be a delightful colour.

Driver2020
Had a walk in Ramsey at the weekend the granite stone is stained and should never have been used.

Non-Believer
Nothing more than we all suspected or knew. It's just an eternal project to justify people's careers and employment. 10 year snagging. How much will this cost and who's paying for it? Members of this administration shouldn't be seeking re-election. They should be hanging their heads in "collective" shame and contrition and apologising to the electorate.
