it does not really matter who the statue is of, but one thing  for certain, like the rest of the mess on the promenade and all the sheer  waste of money , the taxpayer  for generations to come will be picking up the bill

I did happen to walk along there the other day and the area outside the the theatre is quite nice.  Loads of space to spread out before or after a show.

What spoils it is the end of the High Street when you cross the road.  It’s like the other side of the tracks.

The Arcade is a shit hole, nothing in there - the new bit is almost a rose between two massive thorns.
