Charging for 3hrs whilst filling up with unhappy faces before embarking on its return journey Could always fit it with pedals and make it part of active travel. Or Flintstone it... Yabbadabba doo. PS, wonder what colour the horse shit will turn the pink concrete and fancy crossings?

In late October, and Ramsey South Prom! Who would have thought it? Anyone know if they are likely to put any road markings back on most of the roads soon since it will be dark by 5 next week? Some of them have been really dangerous in the wet evenings this week and that is as a local who knows the roads. Anyone who doesn’t know where the road goes could have real issues. I was in a car driven by a visitor recently and they were astounded at the lack of roadside markings, lack of reflectors at road sides, lack of warnings of tight bends (on NSL roads) etc. They can’t even do the basics right. The Patrick road had its markings scrubbed off in July and they still aren’t back! Having just been to Royal Ramsey, I can confirm that the works on the crossing mentioned above and in the picture attached look like they are going to run into December. how can what is planned as a five day job run weeks over? All they appear to have done so far is remove the lights and poles leaving a crossing that is out of action for weeks on end.
ellanvannin2010
Had a walk along the entire promenade works the other day after it had rained and was dismayed but not surprised how many pools of water there were on the finished pavements and roadways and in particular at the dips in the pavements for the various types of "are they arn't they" pedestrian crossings. Be a while snagging these if they are ever corrected that is.

Most of the Prom walkway pavement has not been touched, I walk along it every night, so no different than before

I was looking at the current over running, descoped, £25m and counting scheme. Edited December 2, 2021 by ellanvannin2010

James Blonde
My particular favourite is where, as mentioned, the dipped crossings form a foot bath when it rains. Thankfully it doesn't rain that much in our climate.

Very considerate.
wingnut
The three mile Heysham to M6 link road bypass was given final approval in March 2013. It opened at the end of October 2016 and cost £123.9 million pounds to build, much of it on greenfield, oh and they managed to throw in a few traffic lights for good measure. Refurbishment of our 1.5 mile long promenade commenced in September 2018. We were told it would take two years and cost £25 million pounds, but they did have some ‘complications’, apparently it was so complicated it was like heart surgery 😂🤔. Any surgeon responsible for a mess like that would have been struck off. It’s taken longer than the Heysham bypass, it’s half the distance and still isn’t finished and the build quality is simply shocking. Anyone going to be accountable this time? 😂🤣
