Hope dies last they say, but "hopefully" seems to outlast even that. Still Tim has reassured us that the traffic lights at Ballacraine have been altered so that those coming from Peel and those coming from Kirk Michael will have more time. Numbnuts
Nothing though about the Tram lines being finished at bottom of Broadway. Another prolonged exercise in incompetence as it was supposed to be finished by end of March. My guess is theres really bad news to be announced due to Longworths involvement and signals and gaps between rails etc.

Longworth will have sold millions of tickets to the island on the understanding that the ticket holders must ride the horse trams. He said this before but surprisingly could not produce evidence to back it up. He needs to be gelded.....................Once and for all and put out to grass
Amadeus
All that effort for something they should have included in the first place.
Numbnuts
Thats a total mess. Would any of you accept that level of finish on a job on your house ?? I certainly wouldn't.

Amadeus
The new roadworks seems to be so this buffer/filler/rubber thingy can be inserted between the rails and the concrete. They cut a groove and apply it all along the tracks on both sides.

FFS that should be fun come TT week.................. I know thew points are too big for horse hooves but this is bloody dangerous all year round for bikes, both self propelled and motor type. It's the new shock absorbing/anti-vibration membrane that's now being installed as an afterthought; to protect the brittle concrete adjacent to the iron rail from vibration that could cause the concrete to fracture (as if they haven't got enough problems with cracking concrete). The same thing that everybody said should have been incorporated into the original build.
