Given the diligence, foresight and good management of the DoI, I find that absolutely no b****y surprise whatsoever, but I think the Minister might! Now if they could lay a layer of tarmac right over the walkway from the Sefton to Summerland as well that would be lovely, and at least make it look half finished. and maybe do some weeding while theyre at it

hissingsid
The flow of traffic is going to be very slow when it gets busy, the crossing at Regent Street today had pedestrians strolling over it with few breaks it really needs to be light controlled.

DoI need to put out some 'Don't stop' signs, as per the design.

Doesn't help with all the vans that are parked on the prom (despite the sign saying cars only). A lot stick right beyond the from of the bays thus restricting the flow of traffic and pushing cars into the centre of the road. There was 13 large panel vans parked on the prom yesterday at 11am in the morning.
Itsmeee
The side roads up by the Castle Mona are really dangerous to pull out of now, because the parking spaces on the prom obstruct the vision of anyone trying to exit those side roads. You have to nose out and hope your front end doesn’t get taken off.
hissingsid
That would indeed be painful 😓.

Because of way the parking is set up you can not see people waiting at the crossing and pedestrians have to lean out to see if there's any cars coming, especially if a van is parked next to the crossing. It's daft; there's a reason zigzag lines are put next to zebra crossings-to provide a clear line of sight for road users and pedestrians.

The solution, 1000 quid a year road tax and can not be sold on the Island, export only, get rid of the buggers!!! 2

Omobono
Isn't Daphne attached to the department of Enterprise , and has been there for ever as she worked there before being elected the the Keys over 5 years ago , surly she had input to all the discussions regarding the Tourism experience and the importance of maintaining the horse trams and heritage railways , A bit late to be jumping ship now !

quilp
The Good Doctor I think is up to answer. The issue of the trams has been a blight on the project from the start, why ask now?
