Regardless most of them are absolute twats so producing a receipt is an easier argument than trying to talk logic with them or asking them to be reasonable in any way as they aren’t.

Special type of person it takes to be a traffic warden ! Parking controller etc

Exactly.

30 years of parking all over the island and never had an issue with them, because I only park where you are meant to and when I am meant to.  It’s not like there is a shortage of parking in town. I could count on one hand the times outside TT or Christmas where it has taken more than five minutes to find a space.

With all due respect is this your car?

They're only twats when dealing with people who think it's OK to park illegally

No, they're only twats when you overstay your disc by five minutes.

Actually park "illegally", with the rear wheels and rear overhang of a stupid Outlander pick-up blocking up the pavement in a reverse-park space- as happens frequently on Hope St- and the wardens couldn't give a toss.

No they are all total twats. They have no consideration regarding dangerous or illegal parking at all. They are only concerned with carrying out sneaky and under hand ways for booking people 30 seconds over on their disc. You can pretty much park dangerously and illegally anywhere in Douglas and get no ticket at all as long as you aren’t in a disc zone.

Sorry fella bur they're total bell ends.

They have no interest in dangerous or illegal parking, they love the easy tickets -2 min over and all that.

They even hassle mothers trying to load babies into the car as 'your discs up'

Tim Glover question in Tynwald for tuesday is

16. The Hon. Member for Arbory, Castletown and Malew (Mr Glover) to ask the
Chairman of the Office of Fair Trading

How customers of builders can complain about poor standards of work and seek
to recover costs.

As a member of Infrastructure do you think he is asking for his Minister and Department ?

Well theres little doubt that the work on the prom would not be accepted by any householder I know if carried out on their property. Also the time taken would mean they would be thrown off the job.

If thats the case that means the new concrete laid yesterday some of it will have to come up. Mind blowing after all the cock up's delays and the likes you'd think they would bend over backwards to now get it right.
