Promenade - Megathread

Traffic flow is massively improved with the absence of the horse trams fouling up the Prom. Without them there it massively increases the capacity of the road.

I've never understood why IOM Police didn't order them to stop running during road closures.

What are they doing there?  Removing the curb?

The workmanship on the walkway is atrocious

Think they have just bit the bullet and tarmaced it all to tidy it up for TT time but who knows with DOI ! Pretty sure those last tracks will have to come up . They cant fix the wrong curve in situe .

The 'coastal overtopping' will wash straight onto the Roundel.

Does anyone know if the roundels are waterproof?

But amazingly bad in the context of the DOI is ‘quite good’ to them.

the standard of workmanship is disgraceful and the government should with hold  payment  if this is the best they can do,  then , they should be removed from the government list of contractors,

Did I turn what?

It's ok, it's Kopek. He goes a bit more off the wall around this time of night..

ETA:

Although to be fair he has a point. That 20mph roadworks sign should be for oncoming traffic on the left
