0bserver
It seems that the landside walls will also have to be rebuilt if they extend the horse trams (based on a chat with one of the Auldyn engineers). So are DBC just hanging on and hoping to get them all done at the same time when DOI inflicts further carnage on the long suffering prom? Dirty Buggane
It is officially, Douglas Borough Council these days. Though if it is a council it can not raise money through rates and rely's on money from government. I think it all stems from Miss Catherine Rice refusing to be called the Town Clarke, and hence the title CEO. Have not heard of any expensive rebranding of vehicles a clothing and stationary to proclaim our city status as of yet. Plenty of time, plenty of fools. After all it's not there money. £200,000 for a wall, they see they see them coming. Ka,ching
0bserver
First images of the new wall have been leaked.

0bserver
Massive respect to DOI for timetabling a horse tram right in front of a bus between 5 and 5.30. Professional shithousery at its finest 2
hissingsid
Massive respect..not.. for the absolute tossers who had the opportunity to make the promenade safer and more accessible when they redesigned it . They managed to go massively over budget and way over time. There is no excuse absolutely no excuse they had every chance to make it work and it seems worse than ever. 1
Dirty Buggane
Jusrt driven past the tram sheds at the Strath, seem to be unloading all the bogeys from the trams off a big wagon. Have they all been away to be altered to run on the non heritage tram line by non heritage trams. No doubt gov shiel will be on stating just having the rust removed. Nothing to see about axles being altered.. Move along nothing to see.

The Phantom
DOI propaganda? 'We interviewed a bunch of anoraks at the Tram ceremony and they are all pro-tram' Weird that. https://www.iomtoday.co.im/news/happy-trams-are-back-558680
Asthehills
Anyone else spotted the big retaining wall in lower Foxdale that has been completed from scratch, on a main road. In a few weeks with a solid concrete core faced with nice Manx stone? They need that fella on the sunken gardens. Instead they will spend a fortune on something that will collapse again in a few years.
