woolley Posted June 6, 2019 Share Posted June 6, 2019 I thought he refused the draft as being unwilling to kill and be killed, he having no quarrel with the Vietcong in what he saw as a racist war. I assume his stance would have been the same whatever his religion. He was never the shrinking violet, exactly. As for him being dead, well yes, but why announce it today so long after the fact.
