ScotsAlan
Such is the post truth age. Maggie took us post industrial, Blair and Brown took us post service industry, now Boris says just trust the posh ppl. We know best. Post truth. On the plus side, at least the conservatives have battled and beaten their own moral values to support the tax beak guy. Yeah... Corbyn Corbyn. Jesus.Corbyn No.
Shake me up Judy
Harry Corbett would be better than Corbyn; with Sooty and Sweep for Chancellor and Foreign Secretary. Sorted.

Blair was okay apart from Iraq. I know that's a fairly big proviso. But quite a few of the people who have posted in this thread supported Iraq. I'd give him another go. Seems like a golden era compared with Labour and the Conservatives today.
Chinahand
Blair totally dominated politics for a decade. He transformed the centre left and what it stood for. His ideas for modern democratic socialism are now totally repudiated by Corbyn and momentum. What goes around comes around. Up the workers! As far as I'm concerned we have the very worst government and the very worst opposition I have ever known. What a lucky coincidence they have centre stage to make the most far reaching policy decisions that we as a nation have had to face for decades. With the so-called "quality" of the people involved little wonder it's a complete and utter shambles.....
Non-Believer
I watched the Hunt and Johnson hustings coverage from Northern Ireland live on Sky News this morning. I'm not a fan of either but at least Hunt came across as somewhat measured and professional. Johnson is simply a blustering bag of wind with his only appeal being to the gammonite, Jolly Hockeysticks Little Englander brigade. He stuttered and blagged his way through the interview, answered no questions, offered no solutions to the backstop issue and limited his address to ranting about Corbyn. Eton or not, he's as thick as pigshit. That he leads the Tory leadership contest by a head and shoulders margin is a damning indictment of the vision of his voters. Lord preserve the UK if he takes office.
Freggyragh
He’s a desperate man with at least five kids we know of, and Eton fees are north of thirty grand a year.
Shake me up Judy
At this stage of the race it's like they're competing to be the worst candidate. Hunt has had a really, really shit day, pledging to bring back....fox-hunting ! (Liam must be sweating). He has also admitted to being really crap at sport when he was a schoolboy. Never trust a boy who was rubbish at sport. Still he is a negotiator and an entrepeneur... I think many will know now that they picked the wrong two candidates. war baby
A great plug for the Isle of Man and its kippers by Boris tonight as he held one aloft during his final hustings speech pointing out the ludicrous EU regulation which governs their postal delivery. Seemingly plastic ice must be included!
