The Tory Party are really going for it aren't they?  Not only did they re-brand their twitter account to a suggest it was a fact checking source they have now created this website;

https://www.labourmanifesto.co.uk/#

Are they really that worried that Corbyn's Labour party will win that they feel the need to stoop to this type of nonsense?  I thought the leadership and Boris Johnson and their policy of "Get Brexit Done" were all they needed to return a majority?

British politics is really going downhill rapidly if this is what one (if not both) of the major parties start doing.

The Brexit referendum proved without doubt that 30% of the electorate are thick and easily led, racist and arrogant little englanders.

So yes...in seats with slim majorities this kind of crap will do the job.

Yeah...but the polls are also showing remarkable similarity to when May called the last election.

But with two key differences - firstly, hardly any voters warmed to May, but (incomprehensibly) some do warm to Johnson,  and secondly, in 2017 Corbyn was a novelty - now he’s been well and truly rumbled. The Tories probably won’t do quite as well as the current polls suggest, but they will improve on 2017.

Looking ahead, this election will almost certainly represent failure for Corbyn. It’ll be interesting to see if any element of the party has the balls to attempt to remove him or whether the Momentum attack dogs keep the failed leader in post.

Says more about you than it says about the Brexiteers if that's how narrowly you see it.

Momentum needs someone to hide behind because they are mighty ugly.

AT is right.

Ask any brexiteer why they voted leave and you get all the meaningless soundbites they were conned with by unscrupulous mendacious politicians. You know, all the usual suspects "£350m to the NHS", "take back control", "make our own trade deals" and the biggest lie of the lot "sovereignty" etc etc etc.

You only have drill down one level to find they haven't the faintest idea what they've really voted for.

An awful lot think "Get brexit done" will mean that it will all have gone through by the 31st January 2020. Well, thank goodness for that! Needless to say the tory party are not in a hurry to shatter their illusions.

Tells you all you need to know about brexit and brexiteers....

Got to love the Tory pledges.

20,000 new police officers (they previously got rid of 21,000 under May).

50,000 new nurses   19,000 of which will be "retained" so hardly new and ironically 12,000 will be recruited from overseas.  Don't forget it was a Tory Government that scrapped the bursary fund for training British nurses.

I note that even Boris has now said that Brexit day is only the beginning of a process destined to take many years of complexities. As I maintain. It will be like Protocol 3 and the UK will evolve as the Isle of Man of the EU...

Being well aware of the downside the EU will make sure that doesn't happen.

The muggins brexit voters don't even realise that "being able to make our own trade deals" will depend largely on the EU countries. Signing a trade deal with the EU, like Japan did not so long ago, means they can't even open negotiations with a third party country without EU consent.

Which is why when Liam Fox pitched up in Tokyo they politely told him to piss off and take his totally stupid and unnecessary brexit with him. Get used to it would be my advice.

 I doubt very much if the brexiteers know that the quickest trade deal ever struck by the EU took three years. "Get brexit done" - another classic brexiteer con trick....!

Of course, Johnson's backers want the best deal they can get. Which in their case is no deal. So time the negotiations out would appear to be the current thinking.

You're making things up again corporal. Japan and the EU have talked about trade deals but negotiations haven't yet been finalised. If you can provide a link to what it would add some credibility to your claim.

And there's this recent press release...

Just a couple of points;

1.  Trans-Pacific Partnership.  Has the UK unexpectedly moved to the Pacific Ocean as well as leaving the EU?? I jest of course, however, the countries involved are hardly local to the UK.

2.  The TPP consists of thirty chapters (apparently) "covering tariffs on goods and services, intellectual property rights, e-commerce rules, labor (sic) and environmental standards, dispute resolution, and many other aspects of global trade".  Sounds suspiciously similar to the EU to me....
