But with two key differences - firstly, hardly any voters warmed to May, but (incomprehensibly) some do warm to Johnson, and secondly, in 2017 Corbyn was a novelty - now he’s been well and truly rumbled. The Tories probably won’t do quite as well as the current polls suggest, but they will improve on 2017. Looking ahead, this election will almost certainly represent failure for Corbyn. It’ll be interesting to see if any element of the party has the balls to attempt to remove him or whether the Momentum attack dogs keep the failed leader in post. The muggins brexit voters don't even realise that "being able to make our own trade deals" will depend largely on the EU countries. Signing a trade deal with the EU, like Japan did not so long ago, means they can't even open negotiations with a third party country without EU consent. Which is why when Liam Fox pitched up in Tokyo they politely told him to piss off and take his totally stupid and unnecessary brexit with him. Get used to it would be my advice. I doubt very much if the brexiteers know that the quickest trade deal ever struck by the EU took three years. "Get brexit done" - another classic brexiteer con trick....! Of course, Johnson's backers want the best deal they can get. Which in their case is no deal. So time the negotiations out would appear to be the current thinking. Trans-Pacific Partnership. Has the UK unexpectedly moved to the Pacific Ocean as well as leaving the EU?? I jest of course, however, the countries involved are hardly local to the UK. 2. The TPP consists of thirty chapters (apparently) "covering tariffs on goods and services, intellectual property rights, e-commerce rules, labor (sic) and environmental standards, dispute resolution, and many other aspects of global trade".
