Are you squeamish about condemning the most evil in society so that they can never again prey on society? You prefer the innocent to be put at risk of their re-offending? And never say never. Life is full of surprises. Galling doesn't really cover it. It is just very regrettable that so many are prepared to see the slaughter of innocents and just shrug at the assumed inevitability of it.
