Deacon Blue support announcement 26 July 2004:

The local band support for the forthcoming Deacon Blue concert has been announced and the gig has gone to talented duo FAIT. The band consist of

Ben Dundersdale (Aftermath)and

Mike Jelski (Freshly Shaven).

Fait was formed in early 2000 from two well known northern rockbands combining to form an original acoustic act.

2001 culminated in the release of their debut album, "Well...Yes!" which saw a strong blend of easy listening guitars and powerful vocal harmonies.

2002 saw Fait play at the Cavern at the Jewel in the Scene final as runners up in the best original song competition for the ambient ballad 'Standing Still'. It was at the heat finals that Triskel Promotions Ltd Lenny Conroy first caught the duo live

2003 saw Fait again playing in the final of the 'Londons Calling...' competition at the Torrington in London and begin to break the UK Music scene with regular gigs in Liverpool and York.

2004 saw Fait enter the recording studio again to record their latest EP "Good Times". It also saw the band grow from the simple 2 piece acoustic outfit to a 4 piece. Fait spent most of 2004 gigging in the UK including a gig at the York University Summer Ball.

After a summer of writing and recording for the forthcoming album "And Yet...No!" (due out next year)

The future is looking rosey for these chaps who will provide a suitable support to Deacon Blue's set on 28 August 2004.

Over half the available tickets sold in the first week of sales and Triskel anticipate a sell out possibly a fortnight before the event.
