What could Dlas hotels be redeveloped as? Flats? Could fill a cheap accommodation need if we had a rent control policy and an easily accessible Rent Tribunal.

If we did have rent control, how many would convert???

If you have architectural imagination the possibilities are large

Nothing to do with him he should keep his beak out if he wants class he should try Benidorm I believe sticky Vicky’s daughter is alive and well and is still in cabaret there.

She is Benidorm's biggest tourist attraction, maybe we need to find a similar personality to help Douglas to take off?

Look for anyone in management at the DOI they seem to be able to magically pull anything out of their asses!

There are over 300 classic cars and 600 visitors coming in mid September for the ‘Festival of Motoring’ according to 3fm news. A welcome addition, but what does concern me is the polices involvement - a police motorcade on a parade of classic cars from the Grandstand to Ramsey between 10-11. It’s like an obsession, must involve the police. Will it be like the Mark Cavendish TDF ride out, police out riders and plod in ceremonial dress directing and stopping traffic? Expensive,Extravagant and completely unnecessary.

Incidentally would the police look at vehicles, from a health and safety point of view? Are the tyres legal? Perhaps some scrutiny up at the Grandstand may be in order - if us locals have to put with it, I don’t seem why others can’t.

What happens to the biosphere with all these polluting classic vehicles?

Adds to the Manx air. Of course I’m sure our smart arsed politicos, greenies and other experts will have a perfect adequate reasoning for saying nothing. The Manx vehicle owner will be punished to subsidise the hordes of visiting classic car enthusiasts, along with police escorting cavalcades.

Who cares? Let them bring out the pomp and red carpet. Make it an experience. Most of them coming from across haven't seen a policeman for years (unless they have misgendered someone on Facebook). It'll be a novelty.
