"No. How dare you say such a thing. You evil man. You monster." <-- the crowd

Doesn't matter that you're entirely correct.

Seems like in China 18% of cases require hospitalisation. In Italy it’s over 50%. In China 5% require intensive care, in Italy it’s 10%. A country with higher rates of cardiovascular disease and diabetes should expect more severe cases. Different figures give China having between 3.6 and 4.3 ICU beds per 100,000 people, the countries that have been best at containing the virus, South Korea and Japan, have over 12, as does Italy. The figure I see for the U.K. is 6.6, only 2.5 of which are not currently occupied. Italy’s hospitals are now overwhelmed and most new cases are not getting the care they need. It’s quite an alarming situation, and the U.K. is not well positioned to deal with it. Ignore morons like Woody/Sir Nige, in a worst case scenario it will decimate the boomer generation, unless people listen to experts for a change.

Strange how the tories cheered the NHS spending announced and strangely forget this:

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/nov/25/hospital-beds-at-record-low-in-england-as-nhs-struggles-with-demand

They also forgot how their cuts to social care have led to the rise of the bed blockers.

Funny that....

The rise in the number of bed blockers is due to the shocking increase in the number of kids who don't take responsibility for their parents and close relations.

It always someone else's fault with you, isn't it. Personally I don't have hospital facilities at home, perhaps you do.

No,not always someone else's fault but very often it is. Usually so called bed blockers simply need little more than basic care and support, not hospital support, the sort of thing that families can and should do.

So post up the proof of this latest nonsense.

Clue: cuts to LA budgets by our wonderful tory government currently led by inveterate liar Boris Johnson have not helped the situation...

Prove that it is not so, but you'll find it difficult in view of the number of people stuck in hospital who only need basic care that their kids could provide but don't.

Interesting survey by the EU just after the referendum on the number of Curative Care Beds per 100k population in the 28 member states. Some salient points.

The EU average was 372.2.

Top of the list was Bulgaria with 616.8

Second was Germany with 601.5

Twentieth was France with 309.0

Second from last the UK with 211.4

No doubt more have been lost since then...

You're talking more bollocks and you know it.

If you don't you're a fool.

Curative beds are not what are involved.
