And can BC afford the ongoing maintenance costs? It's going to be a millstone round the ratepayers goolies for evermore.

Re. the second point, LA staff, in particular at senior level, are usually recruited directly from the CS. There’s no squash etc at Mount Murray for at least 10 years. The sports courts at NSC are always booked out and difficult to get court time so the sports facilities will probably be well used.

So you aren't objecting to your 36.6% rise in your Rates on those grounds then?

The gas costs are going to be a big issue for them, it's not as 'eco' as we were told it would be.
Dirty Buggane
Gas what gas, did they not fit ground source heat pumps backed up by the miracle air source pumps, you know the ones that government think are going to do away with the need for any form of heating except electric. Thats the idea they are being sold, and they are being pushed on us as the savior of the islands headlong rush to zero carbon. Would not be surprised they have bought carbon credits to make the boat greener. Bunch of pillock's

The insufferable sustain IOM guy seems to have been involved, but they will be using large amounts of dinosaur gas. I wonder what % will be renewables, the gas standing charge will apply regardless
Kopek
I don't know why you should be so 'anti carbon reduction'! You don't have to be enthusiastically 'Pro reduction' but then it's pretty pointless be so 'anti'? It will happen whether we like it or not! Why set yourself up for a fall? Kopek
Could not the old Newlands entrance on Braddan Rd be used for a short access? Or are there new buildings in the way? Snake it around the inside of the hedge? Would seem better than snaking it around Oates Rd entrance. Not insurmountable with a little common sense surely?
