Destinymoon
Looks like the summer break for teachers of 6 months might be curtailed after the cm’s statement today. Plans to get everyone back to work. Retirement is a great option. I’m loving it! Thanks all for paying my pension

Destinymoon
I have also been reliably informed that there are a number of teachers throughout the island who requested special leave of absence to go back to the other islands on FULL PAY before the lockdown was put in place and it was granted!!!!!! Not great for those teachers left on island to cover the schools...... Edited April 24, 2020 by Destinymoon Edit
Declan
I suppose you can set and mark work remotely as easily from a computer in Liverpool as you can from one in the Isle of Man.
joebean
Most observers have realised that our politicians and senior civil servants will only make decisions about unnecessary public expenditure after the money has run out. Not before. 1

Absolutely, but hardly being in this all together, when teachers left on island have been in schools looking after "essential user" students on rota though? Bit more to it all than just sending a few powerpoints to students Declan? Seems like a handy wee jolly away whilst on full pay................
