IOM Covid removing restrictions

Jersey now at 76,000 people tested & not a sausage in the hospital.

Meanwhile in the land that time forgot we’re scratching around trying to do airline deals with a carrier who can’t even service their existing routes because one of its staff is off sick.

Jesus f***ing wept.

Glad to see Im not the only fucker seeing how stupid the whole Aurigny thing is. Then you have Brian Kelly who started the ball rolling on the radio going 'this is critical for the IOM' like he's independent of it. Such a twat.

Another article you obviously did not read. In case you have not been, Alderney airport is tiny. It makes Ronaldsway look like Heathrow. The truth is, they are short staffed and would rather use the staff they have servicing profitable routes like IOM, rather than shift a dozen at a time between Guernsey and Alderney.

What a twit you are, we all know the size of Alderney but it’s an example of lack of forward planning that can’t run flights because of someone being sick

you should apply for a communication job in cabinet as all you do is cheer any idea they come up with no matter how stupid

Pilots can only fly one type or variant of an Aircraft. ATR pilots do not Fly Dorniers.

Actually, they can, given minimal additional training, which most Aurigny pilots will already have. Most of them have three engine ratings which allows them to pilot two engined planes with a familiarity course.

One would think a banker would be able to work out that flying 100 people each way to IOM will generate more profit than flying a dozen each way twice to Alderney. Simple maths. But you are only a banker. Allegedly!

Not necessarily. Too many factors. But in Aurignys case..  they probably both lose money.

It’s a 20 minute flight to an island with a population of around 2,000 people. It’s like says the bus to Foxdale isn’t running tomorrow.
