So if he said something similar at the next press conference he might be in a bit of bother legally?

It's simple really.

Journo: The other day you said "X Quote", did you mean that it is not possible to be world class on the Isle of Man?

A loose question, but guaranteed to trip words up on it.

That could be argued certainly. He should have said it was governments view rather than stating it as fact.

Saying that, anyone wishing to legally challenge the statement would have to prove, beyond any reasonable doubt,  that he was wrong. Its subjective so that would be difficult.

Unprofessional though all the same

That’s not the test or the level of proof, but never mind.

DHSC allegedly couldn't articulate what they wanted/were asking for full liability for false positives/negatives to be on Taxagenomics.

Basically they were/are out of their depth if they expected that. False results could happen for a number of reasons. It's well known that some people can have a negative response but still pass the virus on.

Additionally, all the COVID vaccine manufacturers are shielded from liability. Why would it be any different for a testing lab?

These people are absolutely crackers.

Its akin to the old carlsberg's ads. Best lager in the world! On what scale was best. That rumbled for years. Eventually they changed it to probably..... and that seemed to shake all the lawyers off as the level of subjectivity went up a notch.
