Tide is turning.  The current border restrictions are excessive.  Its a long way from people wanting to go on holiday and people are starting to be vocal about their issues.

Some people on Facebook eh.

Did people whinge like barstards during the wars? Seriously, did they?

We've become a nation of soft fucks.

A generalisation of course, but I stand by my point, especially if a cross section of Facebook contributors is anything to go by.

I don't use bookface so cannot read messages. But from what has been posted on here then I am glad more serious minds are the decision makers. (hopefully).

Too early yet. Understand the angst but personally I would rather not have another lockdown / circuit breaker and crack on. with the vaccination programme as planned before we try and cross that bridge.

We were lucky, let's stay lucky.

Well if people can read those situations there and the lengths people are prepared to go to (to minimise risk to way below that of a key worker coming in) and are happy that those people are being refused permission by our government then we live on a crappy selfish island.

I dare say if some of you were in those situations and there was zero logic to the decisions you would feel somewhat differently.

Stop everyone coming in and people wouldn't feel it was so unjust.  When there are guys coming in to work on the prom and build houses for Dander then rightly people who are being refused on compassionate grounds who have offered to do everything required of them and more start to wonder what the reasoning is.

We live on a great Island. There's always the pre lunch maritime transport option for those thinking its crappy.

Better be quick though before bojo brings in compulsory hotel quarantine!

People are in for a shock when this is over.

Loads of people quietly relocating away at the moment.  Lots of them high earners who are used to being able to travel.

With the rumoured wealth tax in the UK budget approaching, there is honestly a huge huge demand and interest in movers to the Island right now.

The cyclic nature of some of our key industries mean that people come and go every few years.
